Teachers, Scouts, Adults and Business Organizations;  don’t miss the opportunity of taking your group on a guided tour at the Safety Harbor Museum.

Tours can be arranged to meet the age, interest and physical needs of your group.  School tours are in compliance with the Sunshine State Standards, and we are on the approved tour list of the Pinellas County School Board.

We can accommodate groups of up to 120 students.  Groups of 40 or more students are divided into smaller groups with each group visiting the following stations:

1)  Tocobaga Indian – Docent dressed in authentic Indian clothes discusses and demonstrates items used by the Tocobaga Indians.

2)  Civil War Soldier – Docent dressed as an authentic Union Soldier discusses and demonstrates items used by soldiers during the Civil War.

3)  Pre-historic Area – Docent explains how our area changed over time from when the first humans entered Florida up to the arrival of the Spanish explorers in the early 1500’s.

4)  The history of Tampa Bay – Docent explains how Safety Harbor began and when the Seminole Indians arrived in the area.  On display are many items and objects used by our early settlers.
